The discography of Eurythmics, a British rock/pop duo, consists of eight studio albums, i live album, ii compilation albums, one soundtrack album, one extended play, and 30-three singles. Their first studio album, In the Garden, was released in 1981 but they did non gain any commercial success until their second album, Sweet Dreams (Are Fabricated of This), released in 1983. The album reached number three in the UK[ane] and was certified platinum. The album's title runway was released equally a single, and reached number two in the UK[ane] and number one in the U.s.a. and Canada.[2] Later in 1983, the duo released their third anthology, Touch. In 1984, Eurythmics released the soundtrack anthology 1984 (For the Love of Big Brother) which included the Peak 5 hitting "Sexcrime (Nineteen Eighty-Four)".[1] Their next studio album, 1985's Exist Yourself Tonight, peaked at number 3 in the UK, number one in Australia, and went double platinum in both the UK and Canada.[3] [four] The singles "In that location Must Exist an Affections (Playing with My Centre)" topped the UK nautical chart, and "Would I Prevarication To You?" topped the Australian nautical chart.[i] The duo connected their chart success with the album Revenge in 1986, which likewise peaked at number three in the United kingdom, and went double platinum in the UK and Canada. Eurythmics released their side by side studio album, Fell, in 1987, which peaked at number 7 in the Britain, reaching platinum status. In 1989, they released the album We Too Are Ane, which reached number one in the UK and reached double platinum status.[i] In 1990, the duo informally disbanded and their Greatest Hits anthology was released in 1991. It topped the Britain album chart for 10 weeks, and in Australia for 7 weeks,[1] achieving half dozen times platinum in the UK[6] and triple platinum in both the Us and Canada.[four] [vii]

Eurythmics reunited in 1999 and released their 8th and final studio album, Peace, which peaked at number 4 on the United kingdom of great britain and northern ireland chart.[1] A 2nd greatest hits album, Ultimate Collection, was released in 2005, reaching the United kingdom of great britain and northern ireland Summit 5 and has been certified triple platinum. Overall, the duo accept sold over 75 meg records worldwide.[eight]
